Quit Playing Games With My Racist Heart

I remember watching a documentary on white power music a little while ago, and asides from the footage showing how the old Rahowa lead singer/Resistance Records president now sings in a hippy band and is engaged to a woman of arab descent, there was weird footage of two little blonde haired girls singing "Strikeforce" a song originally written by the godfathers of racist rock Skrewdriver, in a VFW hall in front of a bunch of racist weirdos. A couple of months later I found their darling album (pictured above) on previously mentioned racist record label resistance records' horribly designed website. Soon after that they were featured in Vice Magazine's hate issue, which also had good articles on Malaysian skinheads and black guys with swastika tattoos.
That was a little over a year ago.
Well, it appears the girls are growing up and they're turning it up a notch (BAM!). As a current ABC news article puts it, they're trying to be the racist Olsen twins, which actually makes my long running joke of a racist pop band a reality. As Ben pointed out in a discussion, it's sad that these girls have had their minds warped from such a young age and therefore, can't really form an opinion of their own. However, I do believe that one of these girls will either have a biracial baby or they'll both end up in porn in ten years.

The ABC news article which I believe features a music video that I was too lazy to signup for.

The Vice article

And finally, the girls' very own website where you can see the cover of their long awaited dvd which features a very cute font on the cover.

Thanks to R. Zunkley out in LA for inspiring me to write this post.

Browns lost. Bengals lost. There will be no football recap. At least from me.

In the Brain

Lil Wayne - I Won't Budge

Been listening to this for a minute now and I keep coming back. You may be asking yourself right now, "damn, does this dude just sit around and listen to Lil' Wayne mixtapes all day?" And the answer is: yeah, pretty much.

what the F.

Don't know how many of you remember that MTV special about hip hop slang where Mobb Deep revealed the origin of "dun" and E-40 said that "fo shaganoff" was the next level. Anyways, at the begining of the show they did some street interviews seeing what local slang the kids were saying these days and they interviewed these 12 year olds who were like "chillax. its a combination of 'chill' and 'relax" and I was like "christ". I think i made up a couple words when i was younger, stupid shit just to amuse myself and my equally dim-witted friends, and thats basically what I thought about these kids and "chillax".
A few months, maybe even a year later, and I'm watching a commercial for some Polly Pockets type shit in between cartoons (yeah I still watch cartoons) and Polly's got an ice skating rink her house. "Skate Polly skate! CHILLAX!" and the words flash on the screen. Slightly stunned I kind of brushed it off thinking I was seeing/hearing things only to see the commercial again later in the week and seeing and hearing it loud and clear. CHILLAX.
This could be a testiment to just how powerful MTV is in influencing pop culture, or just how out of touch the suits and people behind the scenes of big corporations are. "What are kids saying these days? Chillax? Excellent. Put it in the commercial". Maybe its both. I was going to talk about how silly of a word it is until I remembered that it was created by some 12 year old kids from uptown manhattan or some shit. Either way, I think anybody who uses this word just might be a d-bag. Ben said he saw it on a sign at a restaurant once. In Googling the word, I found the tshirt up top as well as many pictures of people chilling, and believe it or not, relaxing.
Chillax

Tough Times...

What is going on?

The Cleveland Plain Dealer did a story about blogging for this week's PDQ section in which they interviewed bloggers around C-town....WHERE WERE WE?

The Indians potentially could have won the World Series but the season is now a wrap.

No Browns this weekend.
No Buckeyes this weekend.

But...

Cavs training camp this week.

OSU & Browns back for the rest of the season.

That Wolf Parade album is as good as they say...

That new Three 6 Mafia album is really that good. All the dudes were loving the cd at Al Paul Car Wash.
"Who are we listening to man?"
"New Three 6"
"This shit is sounding REAL NICE"
"I know."

I can say I was at the last Indians win of the 2005 season. The first and last campaign that included pitching.

This week FYL sightings: Tonight Bside/Can'tstopWon'tStop Tues/the Sports Rap Weds Built to Spill at Beachland. Come find us.
